Claude R. Ostiguy has been President of SSI since 1987. A specialist in applications and the integration of electrical protection equipment, Mr. Ostiguy is putting his passion for electrical systems to work for SSI where he has developed a complete line of turnkey solutions for the safe integration of uninterruptible power supply systems.

He started his career in 1980 in the computer power supply sector. His expertise is in the sale and service of mechanical and electrical equipment and he joined SSI in 1987 to set-up the electrical sales and service department. From 1987 to 1996, Mr. Ostiguy designed major custom power panels, helping SSI to forge an excellent reputation for innovative technology with several manufacturers, including Mitsubishi.

In 1996, SSI moved its head office to Ville St-Laurent. This step marked the beginning of the production of UPWARE products, a line of cabinets designed for uninterruptible power supply systems. In December 2001, SSI obtained the ISO 9001 certification for its quality management system and is also certified for the manufacturing of products in compliance with American and Canadian electrical codes. In 2005, the firm is in full growth, expands rapidly and increases the surface area of its workshop and administration offices. SSI breaks new grounds with the creation of an in-house test laboratory in order to fulfill major international projects.

Guided by his vision and passion for electrical protection systems, Mr. Ostiguy is continuing at the helm of SSI, developing value-added solutions.

Rostislav Tzvetkov has been the Engineering Director at SSI since 2007. With considerable international experience in high technology, Mr. Tzvetkov is contributing to the expansion of SSI and its position as leader in the development of innovative solutions for custom uninterruptible power supply systems. He brings to the firm more than 20 years of experience in engineering.

Mr. Tzvetkov started his career in Europe with Transcomplet, an engineering firm specialized in the management of international projects, including some under the supervision of the United Nations.

M. Tzvetkov also worked as Supervising Engineer, Industrial and Civil Projects for the Ministère de Construction MICONS Luanda, in Angola, and was responsible for the management of strategic economic developments.  He has also worked in the high technology industry with Montreal firms such as +GF+ Georg Ficher, Foxboro Invensys Group and Velan.

Mr. Tzvetkov is an engineering graduate of Sofia Polytechnic University and member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.

Mr. Bélanger has been Manager – Human Resources at SSI since 2006. With more than 30 years of experience in different industries and as consultant in industrial relations, he is familiar with every aspect of the human resources sector. A proficient professional, he helps SSI with its staffing requirements, implements policies and procedures, and gives sound advice in management and leadership.

The quality of our resources gives SSI a distinct competitive edge. Mr. Bélanger is remarkably good at recruiting outstanding talents and his contribution is a valuable asset sustaining the growth that SSI has experienced over the last two years.

Mr. Bélanger has worked in large petrochemical and pulp and paper companies as Manager – Industrial Relations and Manager – Human Resources. He has a bachelor's degree from Ottawa University in business administration and is a member of the Ordre des CRI and of the OHTI.

Al though young, Emmanuelle Ostiguy is already considering taking over the family firm one day. The daughter of founding President, Claude R. Ostiguy, Mrs. Ostiguy is presently completing her bachelor's degree at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM).

Mrs. Ostiguy is already familiarizing herself with the firm’s operations, working as Administrative Assistant for more than one year.

With her personality and ability to establish contacts, Mrs. Ostiguy excels in customer service.
